The Bronx Documentary Center - (BDC) is an accessible cultural hub and educational space in South Bronx, NY with a mission to use community-based documentary practice and education to explore vital issues, stimulate critical thought, and drive social change. The core value of the organization is to help its community members get access to the cultural richness of photographic art and documentary practice and learn how to tell their stories through photography and film. 

The H.T. Ewald Foundation supports two BDC programs:

● Training middle and high school students to be photojournalists and community reporters, preparing them to create two issues of a community newspaper each scholastic year.

● College preparation activities that help in creating a college-going culture for students and ensuring their entrance into four-year colleges.
